Newton Media required a scalable telecommunication platform that would not only suit their office requirements, but also incorporate the home workers employed by the company. Newton Media outlined the following criteria: full visibility and availability of all sales staff whether they are on a call or not, the ability to record all incoming and outgoing calls as well as having easy access to the calls recorded, and for incoming calls to be distributed throughout the company (which can change on weekly basis). They also required the number presentation of outgoing calls to correspond with campaigns that they run (which can also change monthly), and to modernise their communication platform, as well as saving Newton Media line rental and call costs.
Pace Telecom provided their own VOIP platform that would grow as Newton Media requirements did. As it is a completely scalable solution, it allowed Newton Media to increase and decrease the number of operatives by simply increasing the number of licenses / handsets supplied by Pace Telecom – without the need to increase line rental costs for ISDN and analogue lines. Due to the software implemented, all of Newton Media’s could be recorded, with easy access to recordings, and Netwon Media had the ability to transfer calls between offices and homeworkers. Other benefits of this software included: conference calling capabilities, presence and instant messaging.
Newton Media has an up to date telecom structure, without the need to increase the amount of ISDN or analogue lines. This has been beneficial in both speed of set up and saved money, with no set up costs. Having the ability to see the presence of co-workers who are not office based is not only time saving, but also allows Newton Media to portray a far more professional operation. The confidence that all calls are recorded and the easy access to the recordings has aided in staff training and conflict resolution. The ability to present the number of Newton Media’s choice when dialling out has met the requirement that the number presentation of outgoing calls correspond with specific campaigns. The software supplied by Pace Telecom also enables all calls to be routed and handled as per requirements. Despite the varied nature of Netwon Media’s criteria, Pace Telecom were able to meet their requests with one piece of excellently crafted software.
